HOW MUCH IN SCHOLARSHIP FUNDS DOES THE PATRICK HORSMAN FOUNDATION DISTRIBUTE EACH YEAR?
Each year, the Patrick Horsman Foundation gives out two scholarships of $2,500 each. For more information about the selection criteria, visit our Scholarship page.
WHEN I APPLY DO I NEED TO HAVE MY OFFICIAL TRANSCRIPTS MAILED TO PATRICK?
No. When you apply, please take a screenshot of your academic records (including GPA) from your university's website. Be sure to paste that screenshot into the PDF you submit as your application.
DOES THE PATRICK HORSMAN FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP DISTRIBUTE RECURRING SCHOLARSHIPS, OR SHOULD APPLICANTS REAPPLY EACH YEAR?
Each individual scholarship is awarded as a one-time check. The foundation selects two winners each year, and each winner receives $2,500. While there is no formal prohibition on former recipients applying for the scholarship again, we prefer to award the scholarship to new applicants each time.
IF I AM AWARDED THE SCHOLARSHIP, HOW AND WHEN WOULD I BE NOTIFIED? HOW ARE THE FUNDS SENT?
Patrick personally calls and emails each winner to notify them of their scholarship. The winner of the fall scholarship will be contacted on August 1, 2022, while the winner of the winter scholarship will be contacted on January 1, 2023.
The foundation will mail the winner a check, made payable to the student directly (not the university).
